Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

FitDash is an open source widget for KDE Plasma, developed by democe. It shows your fitness data from the Google Health API on your desktop. This policy explains what data FitDash accesses and what it does with it.

In short: FitDash runs entirely on your computer. democe operates no servers for FitDash and never receives, collects, or stores your data.

Data FitDash accesses

When you click Connect Google Health, you sign in with Google and grant FitDash read-only access to these scopes:

FitDash only reads data. It cannot create, change, or delete anything in your Google account.

How the data is used

FitDash uses your data only to show it in the widget on your desktop. It does not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or training machine learning models, and it does not sell or share it.

Where the data is stored

FitDash talks directly to Google (oauth2.googleapis.com and health.googleapis.com) from your computer. No other server is involved.

FitDash has no telemetry, crash reporting, or analytics.

Sharing

democe does not receive your data, so there is nothing to share, sell, or transfer. Your data is exchanged only between your computer and Google, under Google's Privacy Policy.

Google API Services User Data Policy

FitDash's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access and deleting data

Children

FitDash is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
