Terms of Service
Effective October 6, 2026
These terms apply to your use of FitDash, an open source widget for KDE Plasma developed by democe. By installing or using FitDash, you agree to them.
License
FitDash is free software released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. You may use, study, change, and share it under that license. If these terms conflict with the GPL, the GPL wins.
Google services
FitDash shows data from your Google account through the Google Health API. Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's Terms of Service. FitDash is not made, endorsed, or supported by Google or Fitbit.
Not medical advice
FitDash is for general information only. It is not a medical device, and its data should not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Talk to a healthcare professional about health concerns.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your computer and Google account secure. FitDash stores its OAuth tokens in your local Plasma configuration.
- Use FitDash only with a Google account you are allowed to use.
Privacy
How FitDash handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
FitDash is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and the widget may stop working if Google changes or discontinues its API.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, democe is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, FitDash.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use FitDash after a change means you accept the updated terms.
